EDITORIAL POLICY

How notes on this site are researched, written, checked and corrected.

Sources

Notes are built from standard undergraduate medical texts and current national guidelines. The specific references used for a note are listed at the bottom of that note. Where guidance differs between sources, the note says so rather than silently picking one.

Review before publishing

No note goes live until the drug doses, classification systems and clinical criteria in it have been checked back against a reference text. Anything the author is not confident about is left out rather than guessed at.

Updates

Each note shows the date it was last updated. Notes are revised when guidelines change, when a reader reports an error, or when the topic is reviewed as part of a routine sweep. Substantive changes are made in place — old versions are not kept, because outdated medical notes are worse than none.

Corrections

Report an error to admin@simplymbbs.com with the page link. Confirmed errors are fixed and the update date changes so the correction is visible.

Advertising and independence

This site may carry third-party advertising to cover hosting costs. Advertisers have no involvement in what gets written, no sight of content before publication, and no influence over the clinical substance of any note. Sponsored or affiliate content, if it ever appears, will be labelled as such on the page itself.

AI use

Drafting tools may be used to structure or tighten prose. They are not used as a source. Every clinical fact published here is verified against a reference text by a human before it goes live, and the author takes responsibility for what appears under their name.
