Simply MBBS publishes revision notes for MBBS students. The whole site exists to answer one question well: what do I actually need to know about this topic to answer it in an exam?
Why this site exists
Standard textbooks are written to be complete. That is the right goal for a textbook and the wrong one for a student with four subjects and three weeks. Most online summaries swing too far the other way — three paragraphs, no structure, nothing you could write in an answer booklet.
These notes sit in between. Each one is long enough to actually teach the topic and short enough to revise from. Every note follows the same structure, so once you have read one you know where to find things in all of them.
What is in every note
- At a glance — the two or three facts that get asked most often, in a table you can photograph.
- Mechanism — why the condition or structure behaves the way it does, because understood facts survive exam stress and memorised ones do not.
- Clinical features and management — in the order you would actually encounter them.
- Last-minute checklist — readable in under two minutes.
- Model questions — phrased the way examiners phrase them.
Who writes it
How we keep it accurate
Every note is checked against standard reference texts before it is published, and the sources are listed at the bottom of each page. Medicine changes, and notes go stale — each page carries the date it was last updated, and pages are revised rather than left to rot.
If you spot something wrong, tell us. Corrections are made quickly and the update date changes so you can see it happened. Read the editorial policy for the full detail.
What this site is not
It is not medical advice and it is not a clinical reference. It is study material for people training to become doctors, written for exams. Nobody should make a decision about a real patient — or about themselves — on the basis of anything published here. The medical disclaimer covers this properly.
